We felt welcome as soon as we walked in. The big shared breakfast room and kitchen even had a fridge stocked with good cold beers. Breakfast was served buffet-style, with a nice personal touch, and the rooms were large and luxurious. It’s an old hop farm with a charming hop-shaped key. The location is between Westvleteren (In de Vrede) and Bernardus. The roads are very narrow, so watch out for farmers. We stayed on the first floor and had a nice view from the bathroom.

The family running the place were very polite, and everything was modern and clean. Breakfast was fantastic, and there’s an honesty bar with beers, wines, soda, and water. The rooms are modern, and they make up the beds while you’re out, so they’re ready when you return. Thanks for the welcome! Mark, Mark, Chris & Dave. The bikers.

For a trip around the bier region, B&B d’Hommelbelle is a great place to stay. The owners were wonderful, the accommodations comfortable, and breakfast excellent.

The room was beautiful and the bed comfortable. The host was always smiling, polite, respectful, and ready to help with anything we needed. I couldn’t have found a better place and would definitely come back on my next trip. If you’re visiting Ypres, this is the place to stay, only 15 mins drive away. My one small gripe is that a kettle in the room would’ve been nice for making tea. Apart from that, I can’t fault it.
