We had a great stay for the price. The hotel was quiet, except that in summer you might hear the industrial area from a road-facing room if you sleep with the window open. Rooms were very clean, and the owner was always lovely to meet, as was her sweet little dog. The place has its own thoughtful style, and I really enjoyed looking at the garden while swimming in the pool. Breakfast was tasty and regional. The tables were set fairly close together for efficiency, so a bit more space between them would have been nice, though it wasn't a big issue. Dunkirk is about a 30-minute drive, with smaller towns around 20 minutes away. Wishing the family and staff all the best.

We were lucky to visit when there were very few guests, so the hotel almost felt like it was ours. The owners and staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, and the dining room service at breakfast was five-star. Breakfast itself was generous and delicious. The room was spotless and had everything we needed. We also spent plenty of time in the immaculate swimming pool. There’s a deposit for pool towels, which you get back at checkout. The location works really well for visiting the area’s war memorials and cemeteries. I’d happily recommend it and plan to return when I’m back in the region.

We had the pool to ourselves, then enjoyed an amazing breakfast as the only guests. Our hosts made us feel as if we were staying in their own home, they couldn't do enough for us. The bed was so comfortable, and the room had everything we needed and enough space. We were at the front near the main road in November 2022, but the traffic didn't disturb us. We’ve already booked another stay for March and can’t wait.

No air conditioning, and the rooms smell a bit. The bed was good, but the Wi-Fi was poor. It's out in the middle of nowhere, though handy for hiking or cycling.

The food was tasty and there was plenty of it. Breakfast is worth having too, with lots of choices, all kept clean and hygienic. We were given a warm welcome and a personal tour by one of the very friendly staff, seems like a family-run place. Definitely worth a visit.
