Thermae Boetfort Hotel

The restaurant service could use some improvement. I’d also like them to make massage bookings easier to plan around: I booked a few days ahead, but they couldn’t tell me what time my massage would be, so I couldn’t organise the rest of my visit. This was my second time at the thermes. It’s nice, even if it isn’t perfect or quite as lovely as the other well-known place nearby. The water fountain is tiny and awkward to drink from, and it’s not easy to refill a bottle there. A better setup would make the experience more comfortable.

We had a good stay in one of the castle rooms as part of an overnight package, which included a 50-minute full body massage and a 25-minute facial. It was a really nice time overall, though the pillows in the room felt a little too firm for me. There isn’t a huge amount to do if you stay all day, since the facilities are fairly limited. You can get through them in a few hours, then make the day last longer with lunch or dinner. At night, you can sometimes hear planes overhead.

The centre was clean, not too busy, and the staff were very professional. We had a really pleasant evening trying all the facilities at this decent wellness spot close to Brussel. The main drawback was the noise from planes landing and taking off. I suppose that comes with being near Brussels and the airport, and there isn’t much they can do about it.

The food at the restaurant was some of the best we’ve had in a while, and the massage was amazing. We had an amazing day at the thermal baths. Renting equipment and eating there can add up, but if you plan carefully or feel like treating yourself, it’s SO worth it.
