B&B Svilla

We had the one-bedroom apartment, which was huge and very private, with its own entrance. It came with a fully equipped kitchen, laundry, and a large balcony looking out over the grounds and pool. The building has lovely grounds too, plus a fantastic pool and outdoor lounging area. Breakfast was awesome, and snacks were available in the kitchen during the day.

We did eventually get a quiet, spacious “luxury +” room upstairs with a balcony, as described on the website, and it suited a weeklong stay much better. But our first night was in a cramped, musty little room behind reception with a small TV. We’d booked a luxury + room in advance, so that was confusing. When I spoke to the manager, she said no other rooms were available until I pointed out that my husband had paid for the bigger luxury + room. The basic “luxury” room is smaller. The building is modern and the location quiet. The towels were thin and very small for what I’d expect at a luxury hotel, though you can’t have everything.

You get the feel of a luxury hotel, with an amazing shower and fluffy bed, while still having the personal, welcoming atmosphere of a cosy B&B. Definitely worth a stay.

The staff were friendly and the room was very nice. The breakfast buffet had absolutely everything you could want. I’ll be back.
