It was a wonderful place to stop during a longer trip. My room was simple but clean and comfortable, and the owner and breakfast were the highlights. I was the only guest; I speak English and Dutch but not French, so Google Translate helped us have a nice conversation.

The staff were really kind, and the breakfast was exceptional. The apartment had loads of room, two bedrooms and bathrooms, a separate living room, two TVs, a kitchen and a balcony, right in the heart of the park. Parking was free, and it felt like sleeping in nature. The downside is that it’s too old.

The rooms are spacious, clean and recently updated, and their quality is fortunately better than the reception area and grounds suggest. The restaurant has stopped serving food, but you can walk to other places to eat nearby.

The room’s decor felt a little dated, but the view was amazing. The owner was helpful and very friendly, and breakfast was so generous that even calling it abundant doesn’t quite cover it.

This is a simple hotel, so the owner is the main reason to come. He’s a real character and such a friendly guy.
