The manager's manner was quite off-putting; we didn't feel welcome. The hotel itself was clean, with a spacious room and nice hot showers. Its location right on the Vennbahn is handy for cycling, and there's secure, covered bike storage. Breakfast had lots of choices and was okay, though a toaster would be useful. For the price, it didn't feel like good value compared with other places we stayed during our 12 days of bike touring.

I was cycling from Maastricht to Troisvierges along the Vennbahn, and this hotel sits right beside the path. The staff were friendly, and my room was spacious and clean, with a nice rain shower. I thought it was good value, and the restaurant food was delicious too. I was lucky to find one of my favorite dishes, Confit de Canard, and the large piece of duck was really good. The only small snag was that I could've used more fries. I'd been on my bike all day, though, so I was hungry. I'd highly recommend the hotel, especially for anyone riding the Vennbahn.

The reviews made this place sound much better than it was. The food was decent, though nothing special, and the wine selection was good. But we waited ages for the starters and then the main courses, about two hours in all for each course. And the flies were awful. We were constantly trying to keep them away before, during, and after the meal. A zapper in the corner would help. Horrible experience with the flies.

We showed up very late and were still welcomed warmly. The kitchen stayed open so we could have a superb steak with chips and salad, and the bar remained open while we enjoyed plenty of fine Belgian beer. A friendly place and good value. Thank you.

Service was pleasant and helpful, and the prices were reasonable. The food was high quality, carefully thought through, and executed perfectly. It's a nice restaurant. For it to feel chic, though, I think they'd need to upgrade the chairs.
