B&B Ter Gracht

The staff were very courteous, which is the only reason I gave it two stars. We stayed with family for three nights in a quadruple room, but it was so small that it really only had enough space for two. All four of us were squeezed in. It was under the roof, with very little headroom, and had no windows. In summer, the air conditioning didn't work, so with no air coming in the room felt like an oven. We had a really bad time for all four days without AC. When we asked about fixing it, the owner said he'd look into it the next day, but never came back. We were charged a high price, and it wasn't reduced despite the inconvenience. The overall experience was awful. Avoid this place.

Breakfast is good, and given the location and price, it's a decent place to stay. The rooms are furnished to an okay standard, but don't expect any design icons. Think IKEA from about ten years ago. It's an old farmhouse converted into a hotel, and there were a lot of spiders in the room.

The room itself was great, but the BnB is beside a busy road, so opening the window for fresh air makes it hard to sleep. The owner serves nice, basic food for dinner, and breakfast is complete too. Neither meal is anything special, though, and with breakfast at €11, a fair chunk of the cost seems to be for convenience rather than the food. There’s no bar, but there is a cosy room where you can have a drink. Prices aren't cheap: €2 for a soft drink, €4 for specialty beer and €18 for a bottle of wine. I'm not sure I'd stay again.
