Getting to the restaurants, Menim gate and museums was an easy walk. Our spacious room was well equipped with beer, water, plates and cutlery. It was under the eaves, up two flights of stairs, and we liked it.

The beds were comfortable, and it's about a five-minute walk to the centre of Ypres. The host was friendly. Work was still underway at the property, but it was being done to a high standard.

We picked up the key at the café/restaurant, which is well worth a stop for a drink. It's a really pleasant spot. The room was well cared for and even had coffee. There was also a beer, and the shower was really nice.
