Agatopolis Villa

The people looking after the place, owners Nickolai and Tania and the staff, were the best part. They took such good care of it, and my family and I can't wait to stay with them again. The rooms are a great size, and the building is extremely clean and well maintained on a quiet street, with free parking for guests. It's a real find in the center of picturesque Ahtopol, two minutes from the city center and ten from Ahtopol Beach. Highly recommend!

The staff were pleasant, and the location was excellent.

Room 1 was on the ground floor, right at the corner of the two paths along the house, so there was no privacy. The room was in the shade and had a fan, but no air conditioning. To get any air, we had to pull the curtain back and felt as if we were out on the street. The bathroom was quite neglected, with black grout, a dripping faucet, rusty hangers, and a toilet paper box that filled with water. There was dust and cobwebs, and we only got one large towel each. The villa's location is good, but that's the only plus for us. We wouldn't return.

The terrace had a table and chairs, but nowhere to hang clothes, so we had to use those. The beach is about 20 minutes away and the bus station seven. The rooms are nice, especially the bathroom, although the beds have spring mattresses that some people may find uncomfortable. One star off because of the subjective human factor.
