Arbanasi DELUXE Villa

The cold was a real problem. It was 8 degrees, the owner turned off the central heating, and told us to use the AC, which was no help in the bathroom. The shower water was barely warm, so taking one was a nightmare. The owner also watched the guests constantly, which felt annoying and stressful. The place is an ordinary pension with poor conditions and no facilities, yet the hosts act as if it were a five-star luxury hotel. They wouldn't let us bring anything inside because they supposedly had a restaurant, but they don't. One evening we tried to order aperitifs and they ordered them from a restaurant in the city. There's also nowhere for a group to sit and socialize in the garden or on the terrace, with only a few seats for the pension's capacity. Prices are high for what's offered, with nothing luxurious or comfortable about it. Poor value, and there are plenty of nicer hotels.

The room was spacious, very clean and cosy, with comfortable beds. It's a quiet place, parking is easy to find along the main street, and the coffee was great. The owners were friendly and communicated well, and their English was very good. Breakfast tasted good, though I'd have liked more variety in the actual food. Being able to choose from 6-8 options is one kind of choice, but some basics were missing. Cookies and water or natural juice could be included by default. Also, payment is cash only, with no card option.

A lovely, peaceful place for a relaxing break. Our room and bathroom were kept clean, and the view was lovely. We had a wonderful stay and loved it.

I'd been here 3-4 times before the renovation, but the service and quality are much higher now. Everything felt amazing. The VIP apartment has a big room and a jacuzzi outside on a big balcony with a nice view. Breakfast was very good. I'll definitely come back.
