Family Hotel Morska Zvezda

The location is handy for restaurants and shops, and the price was very fair. The two ladies on staff were welcoming and went out of their way to help with directions and local knowledge. They changed our bins and brought extra toilet paper, and refreshments are available too. The rooms were spacious, very clean, and well maintained. I’d definitely stay again. Highly recommend 😘

Balchik ended up being a little piece of paradise for us, with tranquility, romance, breathtaking sights, and adventures, even if it may not be Bulgaria’s best-known destination. My girlfriend and I stayed at Hotel Morska Zvezda, one of the best accommodations we’ve experienced. Our big room was always clean, had a great view, and came with everything we needed. The hotel and its location would work well for a solo traveler, couple, or family with kids. The beach is only a few minutes away on foot, and everything else is close by. The staff were all polite and helpful. Special thanks to Monica, the local girl who welcomed us and became a little tour guide. She suggested all kinds of romantic, cool, and exciting places and things to see around the city. I don’t often write reviews after a holiday, but this was a wonderful experience. I’d highly recommend both Balchik and Hotel Morska Zvezda, and hope to visit again.

We liked sitting on the terrace for the view, and the beach is very close. The price was fair. It was clean and tidy, and the reception girls were friendly with surprisingly good English. The bathroom felt a bit odd and uncomfortable, and the shower didn’t work very well. Okay-ish overall.

The front desk is open from 8 to 17 h. The receptionist was lovely, friendly, and quite helpful. The place was clean, and the studio was comfortable with enough room for a family of four. The sea view is questionable, since there’s a hotel across the street.
