The apartment was a good choice for our Airbnb stay. It’s right in the middle of town, with just a short walk to the gondola, restaurants, and other useful places. We made use of the pool, gym, and sauna every day. I’d happily recommend it if you’re looking to rent somewhere.

The bathroom wall had mold, and there was a big hole in one of the inside doors. We also found clothes and other belongings left behind, so it clearly hadn’t been cleaned between guests. It was nowhere near worth the price. Don’t stay here.

It’s right on the main street by bars and restaurants, so there was some noise at night. Still, you’re only about five minutes from the Gondola, which is a great location.

The location worked well for skiing, restaurants, and clubs, but the flat was extremely unclean. There were dirty dishes filling the cupboard, stains on the duvets, and the bathroom looked unclean, smelled awful the whole time, and had a particularly grim drain. The tiny bin was full on the first day, and we were told to buy our own bin bags. The place felt old and run down, with big cracks in several walls. I wouldn’t stay again.

There’s a balcony, plus access to a pool and gym if you want them. Inside, the apartments are warm and comfortable, quiet despite being so central, and a little dated but perfectly fine. You can get to the gondola, ski shops, bars, restaurants, shops, and takeaways in about a minute on foot. For the price, the fortuna apartments are probably the best in bansko. I’d definitely come back.
