Grand Hotel Nirvana

The room was cleaned properly every day, which was the one clear plus for us. The hotel has had some renovation work, but there’s still plenty that could be improved. Communication was difficult because most staff didn’t speak Slavic languages, Romanian, or English. We were four in the room but had only three duvets, and it was hard to ask for another one and a cover. My four-year-old son also dropped his toy robot onto the restaurant roof from the balcony. We were told it would be returned, but after asking for several days, we got back only a small broken piece. The food became repetitive, with little variety and not enough fresh fruit. We had to ask staff to bring more watermelon. We saw no seafood or specialty dishes during our ten-day stay, and when my older son asked about pizza at the snack bar, the answer was, “Next year.” There were just two beers, Carlsberg and Tuborg, and both the red and white wine tasted the same and seemed very low quality. The bean coffee machines were switched off after breakfast, leaving only low-quality instant coffee. We expected more and came away disappointed by some parts of the stay.

The staff were friendly, but the comfort, cleanliness, and organization didn’t feel up to a four-star standard. For me, the experience was closer to two stars, even though the hotel is rated four. I’d hoped to give it five, but even four feels more like two. The value for money wasn’t great either. I hope they make the improvements needed to earn that rating in future.

The staff made me feel welcome throughout my stay. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and ready to assist with a smile. I also appreciated how easy the beach was to reach, about a 5 to 7-minute walk, with loungers and sunshades included in the stay price. There was plenty to do at the hotel. The pool area was spacious and clean, with lots of sunbeds, and activities ran during the day for adults and children. In the evenings there was either a disco or live music. My room had a working air conditioner and television, and the furnishings were in good shape. It was clean, modern, and housekeeping came every three days. The recent renovation was clear. The food was a real highlight. There was a wide choice each day, from traditional dishes to more international options, so there was something for different tastes. For the price, Hotel Nirvana had what I needed for a relaxing holiday. I was genuinely pleasantly surprised by the quality and would recommend it to anyone after good food, clean rooms, friendly service, and a stress-free break.

I had a good stay at hotel Nirvana. The rooms are lovely, and there was food even for a picky eater like me. They had daytime activities for adults and kids, plus interesting evening programmes. We had a great vacation and will come back next summer 👍
