City Hotel

Being close to a large market was a plus, but the hotel didn't work for a family with children. The room looked unclean, and there was dampness on the ceiling. I really wish I'd taken photos. Breakfast was very basic: coffee came from 3-in-1 sachets, and the toast was moldy.

The team made this stay, especially Kristiana, who was kind and quick to help. The restaurant was fantastic too. I'd recommend the tomato, mozzarella and avocado salad, along with the eggplant entree. Our room was clean and comfortable, though a little dated. The hotel sits in a business and industrial area without nice views. Getting to the beach takes a 45-minute walk on flat ground, or a 12-15 minute taxi ride. I'll be back when I'm next in Burgas.

Good value, though the hotel runs mostly on self-service and I wish someone were there for check-in and check-out. Breakfast was very basic.

The room worked really well for our family of three, with one double bed, two singles and an en suite bathroom. It was spacious, and fresh towels and linen came daily. The whole place was nicely decorated and felt above what I'd expect from a two-star hotel. Breakfast had a good range, and the food changed most days, so we didn't eat the same thing all week. The owner was friendly, welcoming and helpful. Aldi is less than a minute away on foot, with a car wash up the road and a burger van by Aldi for an after-dinner bite. My dad, daughter and I were really happy with our stay. If we're in Burgas again, we'd stay here.
