Family Hotel White Rose

The studio was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed for a week in Bourgas with the kids. White Rose is about a 10-minute walk from the sea and close to the town's central street. We’d definitely recommend it and stay again when we’re back in Bourgas.

My mom and I never stayed here after the woman at reception yelled at and insulted us when she had to open the door after midnight. I’d messaged the day before about arriving late and was told it was fine, though they’d charge 10EUR for every hour after midnight. Then this happened when we arrived. It was unreal, and I’d have struggled to believe a hotel could be like this if I hadn’t experienced it. Be careful: it felt like we were just wallets to them. A really bad joke of a place.

We never even got to check in. While we were on the road to Burgas, they called to ask if we were coming. I said we were close, and they told me they were expecting us. Thirty minutes later they rang again and said our room was no longer available because the current guests were still there after a flight cancellation. They said we couldn't stay. I wouldn't recommend a place where your reservation isn't guaranteed.

The woman who welcomed us was really friendly and spoke a little English. We missed breakfast, but she thoughtfully sent us off with some fresh fruit, which we appreciated. The room and bathroom were neat and very clean, and the beds were fairly comfortable. If I make it back to Burgas, as I hope to, I’d definitely stay here again.
