The Wi-Fi worked fine, but the owner came across as a bit of a ****, and that made me want to move somewhere else the next day. The hotel and rooms seemed fairly new, though quite basic and already somewhat run down. There was no fridge in the room, contrary to the online description. At checkout, the owner complained that I’d left some trash in the room and had asked for help with my luggage. I’d asked mainly because of a minor knee injury from the week before and doctors’ orders not to carry heavy things. He said it wasn’t a five-star hotel, they didn’t provide that kind of service, and guests were expected to take their own trash out. I think the owner should consider what sort of attitude is needed from someone working as a hotel host.

The beds are good and clean, and the place is comfortable enough for a good rest during a vacation. Internet worked great, and the staff were kind and helpful. You can get by in English if you don’t speak Bulgarian. The city centre and coast are a 10-minute walk away, and the bus terminal is six minutes away by car.

The owner was friendly and I had a nice stay; the rooms were acceptable. One issue: there’s no divider between the shower and the rest of the bathroom, so water splashes across the floor. I’d stay here again.

The bed was so uncomfortable that I could feel the springs all over, and the pillows were awful too. The next day my whole body was sore. There was black mold all over the shower, and worst of all, lots of bugs. A bed flea bit my seven-month-old baby on the face during the night. I found several dead bed fleas on the bed, other dead bugs like spiders on the floor, and a live cockroach in the bathroom. This is the worst hotel I’ve ever been in. I recommend running away from this place.

A handy spot for a short stay, near both the city center and the seaside park. The staff were very kind and helpful, and the room was clean and good. The bathrooms could probably use a renovation.
