The one thing in its favor is that the hotel is by the beach. The beach itself is narrow and rocky, and the apartment wasn’t very clean. It had no air conditioning or coffee maker. The huge hotel seemed closed: the lobby and bar were shut, and there was no restaurant. The beach chairs were locked on a terrace, with nobody available to rent us a pair. Getting in was a mess. The compound was walled, and we couldn’t enter without an escort. The number from booking.com led to a call center elsewhere in Europe, which gave us a local number. We were told to drive 16 km, or 10 mi, back the way we came to do paperwork and collect the keys, then call a third number when we returned to the gate, another 10 mi away. Someone finally met us there and showed us the two-room apartment. If exploring deserted cities from past civilizations appeals to you, you might like it.

The apartment is on the beach, but the hotel around it is run-down and seems abandoned. There’s no reception or restaurant, the complex has no parking, and distances are long. The nearest parking costs 12 lv a day, with no payment receipt. You have to collect the key in Sunny Beach and check in 13 kilometers away. Inside, appliances don’t work, the walls are damaged, and the cleaning was poor. There was rubbish, glass and cobwebs on the terrace. Although air conditioning was advertised, it only blew hot air. There’s no cable TV either, and a technician came but did nothing. Internet costs an extra 48 lv on top of a 200 lv overnight stay. The bedroom mattress is cheap and springy, with the springs pressing through. The quality is very low for such a high price. I’d never recommend it to anyone.
