Hotel Lotos

The room wasn't ready until the very last moment, 14:00. It seems cleaning takes a while in such a small hotel. The bathroom was somewhat clean but worn, with a shower hanging from an unscrewed handle and visible damage to the sink. There's no spare power outlet in the room, so charging a phone means unplugging the bedside lamp or air conditioner. Ridiculous. The beds were two separate ones with old mattresses that creaked whenever I moved. The sheets were clean but visibly old and stained, with holes. The lock uses an old-fashioned key, not a card. The air conditioner sits right above the bed. Hot water was unavailable in the morning, so I had to wash with cold water. At night, a nearby restaurant played live music loudly. To get a semi-quiet room, we had to close the window and run the air conditioner until 24:00. Internet speed was neither especially slow nor fast, and the connection dropped from time to time. I definitely don't think the hotel was worth what I paid.

The rooms were nice, and the workers were very friendly. But breakfast? Hell nah. The food was probably from the day before. Gross.

Our room had a balcony looking out over the sea and very effective air conditioning. The owner, Mina, was friendly and picked us up from Burgas airport, making us feel welcome. Hotel Lotos is right on the beach.

A lovely family hotel with very reasonable prices, just a couple of meters from picturesque Atliman beach in Kiten. The food is incredibly tasty and homemade.
