We couldn’t get a room because the place was fully booked, but we stayed for dinner and had a lovely meal. Magdalena welcomed us warmly, and the atmosphere was cozy. We tried traditional dishes including shopska salata, kyufte, kebapche and parlenka. For dessert, we had yogurt with candied figs and homemade ice cream with walnut and fig. Everything was absolutely delicious.

It felt like visiting old family friends, thanks to the kind, friendly staff. The food was homemade and tasted like my grandmother’s cooking. We ordered a mix of soups, BBQ, vegetarian dishes and more, and everything was delicious. As authentic as the city itself. We can’t recommend it enough, and we’ll definitely be back!

We didn’t stay at the hotel, but the restaurant is well worth a visit. The waitress was super friendly and the food delicious. Prices are a little higher, but we thought the quality was much better than at other restaurants in Melnik and Bulgaria. Definitely try the homemade ice cream!

One of the best restaurants in town, with such good food and service. Magdalena was lovely. I recommend the "Mother's Guivech".

The service was great, but the food wasn’t worth the price. Apart from the salad, nothing tasted good to us. We were also told at the end that payment had to be in cash and they couldn’t take credit cards. That caused unexpected difficulties, and customers should be told before they order. We won’t be coming back.
