Hotel Bora Bora

We stayed at the end of June. The room was clean, but there were several health and safety problems in the room and hotel. The wall sockets were loose, and the hairdryer in room 103 wasn’t safe to use because its handle overheated. Breakfast was very poor. If you wanted hot tea, you had to boil the kettle in the dining area since the water in the boiler was only lukewarm. One morning I nearly slipped on a wet floor in reception, with no signs saying it had just been cleaned.

It’s at the quiet North End, with the beach just a two-minute walk away. The local supermarket takes three minutes to reach on foot, and there’s a “Train” stop right by the Hotel for going to the centre.

The view of the sea is amazing, the rooms are really spacious, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The pool was nice, too. The beach is about a two-minute walk away, and free parking is near the hotel, roughly a minute on foot. Everything met our hopes and even surpassed them. My only suggestion to the host would be to offer a bit more variety at breakfast.

We stayed for two weeks and would definitely come back. The rooms were clean, with the bedding and towels changed regularly. The staff were lovely, especially the reception girls, the ladies doing the cooking, and Dario and Costa behind the bar/restaurant. They kindly arranged a birthday cake for my two-year-old and got him a gift as well. It was very thoughtful.
