Expo Hotel

The staff were kind and friendly, and the conference rooms are good. The rooms are nice and the location works well, though some boulevard noise still comes through despite the good window insulation. Breakfast was very basic, with only two options. For the price, I don't think the place is worth it.

I paid 270 leva for two people for two nights. The hotel is very clean and looks recently refurbished, with an elevator and private parking, which is handy if you're driving. It's about a 10-minute walk from the pedestrian area. After 7.30pm there isn't English-speaking staff, but the night-shift gentleman was brilliant: always smiling, helpful despite the language difficulties, and professional. He made us feel at home.

The parking area is great, and the rooms were super clean, though both the rooms and beds felt really cramped. For an expensive place, I didn't like that it still had a shower curtain. We checked in late and were told the room cost 120BGN, but when we went to pay in the morning, the price was 128BGN 🤷‍♂️

The breakfast was very poor, and it was served right in the hotel lobby. If you want a more substantial breakfast, this isn't the place. The rest was a very pleasant surprise: everything was perfectly clean, the staff were lovely, parking was free, and the furniture and bathroom looked brand new. 👍👍👎
