Palmen, who was usually at reception, was incredibly patient, attentive, and kind. He made us feel very welcome, and we enjoyed spending time with all the lovely people we met there. The historic building and its wonderful courtyard give Boutique Hostel Old Plovdiv a charming, authentic feel, and most of Plovdiv’s main sights are within walking distance. The rooms can be a bit sound-sensitive, as you might expect in an old building, so bring earplugs. We truly enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend it.

I had a wonderful stay at Old Town Hostel Plovdiv. The staff were so kind and helpful, even going out of their way to send my glasses to Poland after I accidentally left them behind at checkout. It’s a traditional house full of charm and character, right in the heart of the old town. The atmosphere felt warm, welcoming, and comfortable. I’d definitely stay again!

People here are pretty quiet and calm, and it was a unique experience. Just be ready for the hills and steps in the old town. The staff were super friendly and helped me a lot with planning my transportation. The bathroom was clean. The hostel is a 19th-century heritage building with many original fixtures, and in the breakfast room you can see it was built on Roman stone. Best hostel!

I had a fantastic time here and will come back when I visit the city again. The homemade breakfast is included, and the kitchen is a nice place to cook for yourself and chat with other travellers. Staff are warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable, with helpful tips for Plovdiv and the surrounding area. The historic house is splendid, the common rooms are spacious, and the beds are clean and comfortable. It feels like staying in a museum, with a lovely host and lovely interiors in the lovely Old Town neighbourhood. Highly recommend. Love from Leipzig🙏🏼

The low price makes the experience here feel even more special, and I can’t recommend this gem highly enough. "Old Plovdiv Boutique Hostel" is in a historic building, with interiors that have the charm of a grand manor house. Walking inside feels like stepping into a living history book, and there’s a lovely green space that makes for a peaceful escape.
