Hotel Evmolpia

We were comfortable here as a family, and our dog Hera was welcome too. The room was very clean and tidy, with an authentic feel, and breakfast was generous and satisfying. They offered wine, feta cheese, and coffee when we asked. We drove to the hotel, which is in the most central and lively part of Polovdiv. The welcome was warm and helpful. We'll definitely stay at EVMOLPİA again when we return. Many thanks to all the staff! 🤩🙏🏻

The hotel manager's hospitality stood out most. They did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. It's a small hotel, beautifully designed and in an excellent spot in the old city.

Breakfast was lovely, with birdsong in the background and fresh dairy, bread, and drinks to start the day. The old-fashioned kindness here really stayed with me. Many thanks to Dimara for her valuable suggestions, which helped us take a thoughtful look around the city. Hotel Evmolpia is one of a kind, close to the Old City, just a few minutes from the Theatre with its lively calendar of events, and near the Kapana district for art and food. The warm welcome and thoughtful details were a perfect beginning to our journey through Bulgaria. The romantic room decor suited the ancient house, where you can feel time and old stories lingering.

We loved our stay and left with a great first impression of Bulgarian hospitality. The staff were welcoming and attentive from the start: at check-in they offered homemade lemonade and recommendations for things to do and places to eat in Plovdiv. They also helped us figure out our day trips. After exploring in the heat, the free wine and cheese were a nice pick-me-up. The room was cleaned every day. The location made exploring easy. It's near the underground path across the main street to Kapana, with its restaurants, bars, and shops, and the walk back uphill isn't too exhausting. Most nightlife is across the main street, so the old town felt peaceful at night. Our ground-floor room was mostly quiet, though a few times people talking outside the window in the middle of the night woke me, and I'm a light sleeper. Breakfast was awesome, with a good mix of savory and sweet food. If you're from a colder country where most produce is imported, you'll appreciate the strawberries, tomatoes, and cucumbers. A few things I'd have liked: cappuccino or latte at breakfast, a mini fridge in the room, and the option to keep the same towels instead of having them changed every day for environmental reasons. We were sad to leave!
