The pools were a big part of what impressed us, with several options including kids’ and baby pools. We also appreciated that baby food was available at both buffet breakfast and dinner, and that there was even a special SPA robe for our baby. We had a gorgeous stay at Markovo Spa in November 2025, our first visit with our 5-month-old. The service was exceptional for both us adults and the baby. It’s easily the best hotel for families with children in South Bulgaria, and it’s clearly geared toward families. You can tell the people at Markovo Spa do things with passion, professionalism, and love for their guests. We’ll be back very soon!

This was our second visit, and we left really disappointed. The last time, the massage was very good. This time, both of us felt the massage was basically just having oil put on us. I can do that myself. We also paid 22 Euro to use the other facilities, which weren't very appealing either. The chlorine smell in the pools was so strong it irritated our eyes, and we couldn't stay there. We won't be coming back, and we definitely wouldn't recommend going.

After the renovations, the pool area has more room, including extra space for children. The hotel is great for families with babies too, and even the half-board meals include food for the little ones. There's also loads for kids to do at the play center.

The food was fantastic, with lots of dishes to pick from and everything we tried tasting delicious. We spent three nights here with our kids. Even though the hotel is usually full, it never felt crowded, and there was room for everyone and all the activities. The kids loved the children's area and the extra activities: they painted with help and supervision from a real artist, then cooked a meal and ate what they'd made. The spa has five pools, most designed for children. They go down to a maximum depth of 130 centimetres, which may not be enough if you're looking to swim properly. It's a kid-friendly hotel, after all.
