Hotel St. Nikola

A really nice hotel.

Nice place.

We booked by phone, then had to reserve an extra room. We ended up in something like an apartment, with a huge terrace and a kitchen, and plenty of room for four people. The rooms were cozy, and although the furniture was old, it was comfortable. We paid 80 leva per room per night, which seemed reasonable. There’s a bakery nearby, along with a huge supermarket, and both the beach and centre are five minutes from the hotel. My family and I were happy with our stay and would come again.

There was barely any hot water, and the internet was down about 90% of the time. The room wasn’t properly cleaned when I arrived, with ants everywhere and coffee stains on the sheets. The place was extremely dirty. The appliances and furniture were old too: the hairdryer they provided exploded and caught fire as soon as I switched it on, and a few days later a chair broke. The manager and staff were hostile and very unkind. The manager was a square-shaped woman with 10 words in her dictionary and just 3 blouses, while the staff were two Roma women who spoke Roma and Turkish the whole time. I categorically do not recommend this place. Bad reviews get removed, so you can’t get a real idea of the "hotel".
