Villa Sea Paradise

Open the curtains and the sea is right beneath your nose. Lovely place.

The food was delicious, and the apartments were comfortable and clean. A great, peaceful place.

The location is the only good thing, right by the beach. The rooms were miserable and disgusting, with patched sheets that even had holes and no towels. The old beds were uncomfortable, and one had a broken leg propped up with bricks wrapped in a rag. The sofas and beds were flimsy and rickety, and the summer kitchen wasn't up to standard either. I could put up with the poor conditions, but not the landlady's attitude. She was mean, seemed to hate children, constantly grumbled and criticized everything, and watched our every move. Don't come here with children. They were expected to sit perfectly still: no running, shouting, noise, or touching the pebbles and mussels. Even the amount of water in the foot-washing can was monitored. Our children aren't perfectly obedient either, but when we're paying to rent a place, we expect to be treated decently. Instead, the kids and their parents were constantly nervous about doing anything and blamed for everything. You'd have to tie them up like puppies. Stay away, or it could ruin your vacation.

The location was the only reason to go, and we'll never return. We were a group of 16, not a book club, and larger groups aren't welcome because they disturb the other guests. The kitchen and dining area were put together with stakes and ropes, though there were chairs and a table set. The children were constantly criticized, as were we. They're children, not quiet, meek second-year seminarians. We went to the sea anyway, but last year the landlady treated us completely differently. This time, her constant criticism ruined our vacation. If you're going with children or a large group, it's probably better to avoid the place.
