Anna Palace Hotel

The parking out front is handy, though there are far too few spaces for the hotel’s guests. On the fourth floor the rooms are very small, but still comfortable. Breakfast is no longer laid out as a buffet; you choose from a selection of items in the restaurant, and that makes things slower.

The main downside was how much sound came through the room walls. I could hear people talking, whistling, or watching TV next door, which made it hard to sleep early or get up late. Otherwise, the staff were friendly, the location was very good, and parking worked well. Breakfast was tasty and filling, even though it wasn’t a buffet.

The staff were nice, and the room had space for four people. It’s very close to the Danube, where you can take a relaxing walk or stop for something to eat or drink on the terraces. There are up to 10 spaces in front of the hotel, plus some municipal street parking nearby.

The area was quiet day and night, and the hotel is close enough to the city center to enjoy Ruse. The building used to be a large private house about 100 years ago, so the ceilings are around 3-3.5 meters high. The rooms were very good and clean, the restaurant was fine, and I enjoyed the live jazz and excellent food. Service at both the hotel and restaurant was okay. Prices are reasonable, parking is free and adequate for the hotel, and pets are allowed for 15 EUR per night. The river path is close for jogging, and there’s also a gym nearby, outside the hotel.
