The restaurant is tucked away from the main road and passing crowd, but it’s worth finding. Excellent food and service, and a top-quality choice for lunch or dinner after skiing in Borovetz.

I’ve eaten at the restaurant, though I can’t say much about the rooms beyond that they looked clean and nicely designed. Our waiter was very polite and suggested a few dishes. The trout was delicious, whether served as marinated ‘chevice’, soup, grilled or fried. I ordered it grilled and was pleasantly surprised that the bones had been removed. Prices seemed reasonable, and the service was very fast.
The interior is good and the menu ambitious, but the food quality wasn’t there. We ordered six dishes. Three were badly overcooked, and the other three looked and tasted like low-quality restaurant food. Service was poor too. Prices are twice the average, without good reason.
The best, just wish they had mochi and rice 🥺
We had a lovely evening at Kokoshkovata House in Samokov. The garden lighting was beautiful, even in winter. There’s a great selection on the menu, and the food was tasty and nicely presented. Service was very good and we felt well looked after. We highly recommend the restaurant and plan to visit regularly.
