Villa Ibar Apartments

We were four in the apartment room and found it very comfortable. It's a cute, low-key hotel in a convenient spot, less than a 5-minute walk from the Sitnyakovo Express lift and about 10 minutes from most village restaurants. Breakfast was excellent, with small changes each day to keep things interesting. We did wish it started half an hour earlier so we could get to the lift on time. The small sauna fits up to four people and costs an extra €15 per session. Since we were four, it worked out affordably, and we used it almost every evening. We got fresh towels each evening for the sauna and used those as shower towels, then reused the older ones for the sauna, which worked fine. There didn't seem to be daily housekeeping, or it wasn't clear that we had to request it. We wouldn't normally expect to ask for the room to be cleaned. During our four-night stay, nobody made the beds or emptied the trash bins. I also lost my sleeping mask and called the hotel to ask them to look, since it couldn't have been lost anywhere else. It was a Mulberry silk mask worth around €50, so I would've appreciated a more thorough search. It might have gone with the bedsheets or towels taken after we left. They called back and said they couldn't find it, but it felt like little effort had gone into looking because it was "just" a sleeping mask.

The staff were smiley and helpful, and the breakfast was good. We had a two-room apartment with everything a family with two children needs. A great place to stay.

The location was great, and I enjoyed breakfast. The staff were lovely.

Clean, warm rooms, nice breakfast, and great accommodation and service. The location is perfect, 100m from the ski lift and the center of Borovets.
