6/10
A modest, reasonably priced hotel in Shumen. The rooms are neat and modern looking, though on the small side, and the bathrooms are especially cramped. There's no lift, street parking is often full, and breakfast wasn't included during my stay.

Getting there late was possible, which I appreciated. Otherwise, this felt like a fairly average hotel: the room smelled unpleasant, the couch was broken, there wasn't enough linen and the WiFi was awful. The staff didn't speak English.

Fine for one night, with a spacious room. The shower stall was cramped and uncomfortable, and the place could use better maintenance.

We couldn't stay because there were no rooms available. The receptionist took the trouble to call another hotel in the same chain and find us a room there. I appreciated her kindness and effort, so wanted to give five stars for the hospitality.

A clean, compact hotel in Shumen, and a good affordable option.
