Aris Sofia Hotel

The staff were friendly and really helpful, and I enjoyed my stay. Breakfast was great, and the Museums and Mosque are nearby. There's a lovely kebab shop downstairs with attentive, friendly staff. Around the corner, a restaurant serves traditional Bulgarian food with music after 8pm.

A comfortable hotel in a quiet area, with reception staff who were very helpful. I appreciated the balcony and the sunset views.

The calm atmosphere and view from my room made the stay especially enjoyable. I was there for a few nights, and the spacious room was spotless. Staff were friendly and professional, everything went smoothly, and I'd definitely come back.

The room was cramped and hot, with a view of the backs of apartment blocks and houses. The air conditioning didn't work. In the bathroom, the ceiling was mouldy, the shower leaked constantly, and water spread everywhere, leaving the whole room wet. Getting parked was almost impossible on the narrow one-way street. We had to ask at the front desk of a different hotel to open its parking barrier, since apparently the two hotels share the lot. Reception was awful. The woman at the desk said our card payment hadn't worked, even though we'd booked in advance, and made us pay again for rooms we'd already booked. She was rude, shouting over us and telling us not to start an argument while we were being quiet and respectful. A terrible experience. We left as soon as we could the next day and don't plan to return. Would not recommend.
