Best Western Terminus Hotel

After driving for over 12 hours, we got there around 1-2am and found out that my normal-sized 25kg dog wasn't accepted because they only allowed small dogs. The Booking.com page just said pets were allowed, without mentioning the size limit. Since it was so late, we couldn't find another suitable hotel and had to sleep in the car. The basic information should be clear so people can decide, something as simple as saying they only accept dogs under 10kg. It's not hard to handle this better. After the hotel's reply: I'm glad to see they've changed their pet policy. It used to be different. I never book anywhere that says pets are allowed only upon request. There was only one normal-sized dog, so if you didn't take the time to come five metres and look, you shouldn't post false information. Anyway, one star is more than I wanted to give, and after your reply I think it's more than deserved. For accurate information, we arrived around 1am-2am. Yes, after driving more than 12 hours, I book when I can tell how far I can get. That means last minute, sorry. That's why I chose a place with two things I needed: pets welcomed, not upon request, and a 24-hour reception, so a last-minute booking wouldn't matter.

The rooms were clean, breakfast was standard, and the service was nice. Everyone at the front desk was friendly and helpful. It's near the metro and buses, and the centre is an easy enough walk. A pretty fine hotel, nothing to write home about.

The reception staff went out of their way to help us. They were very nice and made us sandwiches at night before our flight, since we'd paid for breakfast but were going to miss it. The rooms were a letdown for cleanliness: the carpets hadn't been vacuumed, and we found mold in the showers of several rooms we checked. That's disappointing in a renovated hotel with new facilities. Breakfast was reasonable, though a bit more variety would be nice, especially more salad vegetables like lettuce, grated carrots and cabbage. I also missed having a fried egg, which is very common. Free parking is available, and overall the experience was reasonable.

The staff were really helpful and let me park all my cars in the extra parking area, which was available. The hotel is great, with relatively good rooms, though they felt outdated and were only kind of clean. Breakfast choices were limited, which I didn't like.
