The staff were friendly, and I was given a room much bigger than I expected, with a large bathroom. It was clean, and arriving in the middle of the night for check-in was no issue. Breakfast came with the stay; it was basic but enough. The cigarette odor was the downside. My room was marked non-smoking, but I noticed the smell straight away, even with various fragrances used to cover it. It seems people may have smoked heavily in there when smoking was allowed. I guess repainting the walls would be needed to get rid of it.

For a short stay, it was actually a good choice. The place is very cheap, the staff are nice, and it was clean and surprisingly comfortable, though the cigarette smell might bother you. The photos give you a fair idea of what to expect.

The ceiling light didn't work, and neither did the mini fridge. Even so, the hotel is fine if you're not after anything luxurious. The staff were friendly and helpful.

There was no breakfast, even though I'd booked it included, and I had to go looking for someone just to ask for tea. The staff spoke no English, spent their time in the cafeteria watching TV, and never seemed to have change. I had a terrible experience here, the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Be careful with their airlines too. The service was just as bad, with delays and no communication. They can leave you lost in a foreign country. No Bulgaria for me. Never!
