The service was good, and the room was very clean and smelled nice. The apartment and room were quite old, though they seemed to be trying to keep things in good condition. I spotted some cobwebs and spiders in places in both the room and bathroom, and the A/C didn’t work. For one night it was okay, and everything is close by, in a great location!

The room had the basics and was fine for a short visit, though it could use some renovation or replacements. The staff were kind and helpful, and the location is excellent: the Old Town is a short walk away, with everything else you might need nearby. Private parking is available close by if you request it.

The front desk staff were friendly, and I was able to check in a little early, which was nice. They were also very prompt about the checkout time. There’s no staff on duty around the clock, though, and the staff came to clean my room without me asking. My valuables were still there when I got back, but I didn’t like that they’d entered when there was no need to clean. The place works, but I wouldn’t stay again. It’s close to everything, with a public transit stop right outside and the main shopping street about a 20-minute walk away. The room and bathroom felt dated, and the shower made the toilet area wet and slippery. The place felt a bit dirty too. I’m sure they cleaned, but there were bugs after the windows had been left open, and the wooden floors didn’t help the impression. I thought this was nice for Bulgaria until I spent three nights at a cheaper hotel nearer the city center with a cleaner, more modern room.

Our room was small, but it was very clean and tidy, and aside from a few issues we had a pleasant stay. We chose it for its excellent central location in Sofia. Our flight got in late, and nobody was at reception when we arrived, but luckily self check-in was available. The staff were kind and helpful over the next few days. The bed wasn’t one king-size mattress. It was two smaller ones pushed together, leaving a big gap each night. The bathroom had no shower stall or curtain, which seems fairly common in Eastern Europe. Also, the hotel only provided hand soap, so we had to bring our own shampoo and body wash.
