The location worked for us because we needed to be near the tech park, though parking nearby was hard to find and they don’t provide it. It was also noisy, with people shouting despite quiet hours, although I know that isn’t the hosts’ fault. The flat looked cozy, but the dirty details made the stay unpleasant. There was a large cockroach right outside the bathroom, the bathtub wasn’t properly cleaned, the drain was visibly dirty, and the towels had spots. I also didn’t find the furniture comfortable. Unless you’re a child, you can’t sit on the couch without hitting your head on the ceiling.

I spent more than 10 sleepless hours in that room, then left at 6 am for a better hotel because I was so angry. I was meant to stay four nights, which felt impossible and inhuman, and they wouldn’t refund me. The manager didn’t seem concerned about the room, and I wasn’t happy with the customer service. The bedroom is a tiny box under a low attic roof, with no windows and bad lighting. I kept hitting my head when getting up. It was dusty enough to make it hard to breathe even with the door open, and the whole place smelled old and musty. The bathroom stank. The bath didn’t work, and there was hair in it and in the bed. The bed was covered in hair, and I doubt the sheets had even been changed. The sheets also made me incredibly itchy. I can’t remember ever sleeping on a worse bed; rocks outside would probably have been more comfortable. The heating stopped in the middle of the night and the room quickly got cold. The location was bad, the furniture was old and broken, and the room wasn’t clean at all. Looking at older reviews, everything had seemed fine, but my experience felt like a total scam. In 2023, you could find somewhere much better for less, even a bench outside would be preferable.

The setting is peaceful and green, with spacious windows and complete privacy. The apartment is quiet, centrally heated, and has a TV and WiFi. There’s a restaurant nearby. The only small drawback is that there’s no reception on site and service isn’t available all the time, though with these facilities it wasn’t really needed except in an emergency. Remote assistance was professional and quick. Inside, there’s a separate bedroom with a wonderful bed, supportive pillows, and a dressing table. Storage is plentiful, with cabinets and drawer dressers throughout. The living room has a sofa and extra bed, plus a dining table. The kitchen is fully equipped with a large fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, oven, cookware, and cutlery. The bathroom has a Jacuzzi and a proper hot shower. For the price, this is the best bargain I’ve found in Sofia, probably the best one can get at this rate. This is my place, and I’ll keep checking for availability.

Awful apartment, I wouldn’t recommend it. It felt like a scam: everything was dirty, the rooms smelled terrible, and there was no air conditioning, so it felt like I was suffocating. Zero stars and zero leva or euros from me.
