Hotel Jasmin

The renovated rooms were modern, stylish and very comfortable, and the food was excellent. Staff were professional and friendly. Although the hotel is close to the city, it was surprisingly quiet and cozy. Having parking was a big convenience for us. I’d happily stay again and recommend it.

The rooms and bathrooms are a little worn, but everything was clean, and breakfast had a nice variety and was good. With the attached restaurant, it’s a reasonable place to stay on the outskirts of Sofia. Bus 67 stops in front of the hotel, though it takes 30 minutes to reach the city.

The room was spacious, clean and bright, and the parking worked perfectly for our rental car. The location is strategic, close to Sofia city center. Still, having checked the reviews before choosing it, I can say they’re misleading. Reception wasn’t helpful. I emailed ahead because I’m lactose-intolerant to ask about lactose-free milk. They replied bluntly that there was none and offered no alternative. We were a family of four, and our 10-year-old got a sofa bed that was impossible to sleep on. When we asked about a topper, reception said they’d “check availability.” We ended up with three of us sharing two single beds pushed together for four nights, and practically no sleep. Breakfast was the worst we’ve ever had. The salami was inedible, there were almost no sweet options, and the ingredients were poor quality. I asked for chocolate spread and got another blunt “no.”

The rooms were too hot. We chose the hotel because it had EV charging, but when we arrived, a diesel car was parked in the charging spot. The receptionist didn’t know whose car it was, but called us later after it had left.
