Montecito

The window was open when we came in, and the room was clean and neat. Still, it smelled of cigarettes, so I had to sleep wearing a face mask.

We always book with breakfast, and there’s every variety of food you can imagine. There are vegetarian and vegan options, and the kitchen cooks can even prepare food to your taste. The food is excellent. The rooms are modern, clean, spacious, and comfortable, making this one of the best hotels we’ve stayed at in Sofia. The service is remarkable, with so much attention and politeness that you feel at home. Mister Hristo kept me relaxed, pampered, and happy. His professionalism brightens the restaurant, and all the guests, including us, adored him. Keep going this way. We’ll come back here again ❤️

I wouldn’t recommend staying here. The room was badly cleaned and so tiny there was barely space to move. There’s no separate shower in the bathroom, the whole bathroom is the shower, and the water temperature kept going up and down. They leave the sheets and duvet for you to make the bed instead of making it themselves. The breakfast quality was low. Reception staff, especially elena, were quite rude. After I waited more than 20 minutes, she refused to sell me a bottle of water. Probably the worst hotel I’ve stayed in my entire life.

The pool was great for early and evening swims, and towels were available at reception. The rooms were clean and kept tidy during my stay at The Montecito. Breakfast was excellent, though get up early if you want to avoid waiting. The chalet maids and pool staff were friendly and very helpful. A tip for tourists: be nice and people respect you and tend to look after you. Lovely stay, I’ll come back in the future.
