Serdika Round Tower Apartments

The owner lives upstairs, and from 7 pm we heard thudding, an argument, crashing, more arguing, and floorboards creaking above the bedrooms all night. It’s not useful if you have a 4 am flight. I’m a disabled traveler and thought the flat was one level up, close to ground level. Instead it’s seven flights up with no lift or oxygen. The view is pretty limited if you can’t stoop to see through the very low windows, or if you’re over six feet and looking through the upper windows. From what I think is the town view, there are trees, undergrowth, and something with a round roof. The color scheme is great, and there’s a kettle, coffee machine, and fridge. But the front door locks at 10 pm, and if you leave your keys behind the keycode sometimes doesn’t work. At checkout you have to come all the way down to unlock the entrance, then go back upstairs to put the keys in the lockbox while someone holds the door. We had this problem with the door.

The apartment had lots of cockroaches, and the furniture wasn’t very clean. Other than towels and toilet paper, there weren’t any amenities.

There were cockroaches and dirty sheets, so we booked another hotel to get a peaceful night’s sleep. The owner wouldn’t refund us.

The apartment is very good. My only concern is that it’s on the top floor.
