It’s clean, easy to find, central, and near the University and public transport, and the people are friendly. But the nightclub in the building plays so loudly all night that the plumbing in your room vibrates. That also makes 40 euro a night feel like too much when you get no sleep, no breakfast, no room cleaning, and a very poorly equipped kitchen. I’d be happy with the price if it weren’t for the nightclub.
The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. The problem was the nightclub downstairs. Even five floors above it, the bass shook our room until around 5-6am. If you’re hoping to sleep well, this only makes sense if you’ll be out all night and into the morning too.
For a few nights on a tight budget, it’s pretty okay aside from the cleanliness. We had to kill a cockroach and a few mosquitoes when we arrived, and the sheets could’ve looked cleaner. The rooms are on the fifth floor with no elevator. Still, it works for a quick stay.
The location is great, and the place has a nice feel with friendly, helpful staff. The design is nice too, though some of the furniture is dated or doesn’t work properly, like the stuck window. Walls are thin, it got really loud after 3am, and mosquitoes attacked us during the night. A decent central spot if you’re there to party.
The owners were lovely and helpful, and I enjoyed staying here. It’s a reasonably priced hostel right in the city center, with nice, very clean rooms and a perfect location.
