Villa Pontica

We stayed for three nights as a couple and found the price affordable. The beds were very comfortable, the facilities were alright, and we had a nice view over Sofia from our room. I'd recommend it for either a short or longer stay.

The owner was very kind and helped us with several special requests, including getting warm water for tea and heating our food in the microwave. I'd happily stay again. Our room and bathroom were spotless, the bed was comfortable, and the garden and breakfast area were lovely. Fast Wi-Fi, free parking nearby, and a supermarket and ATM just around the corner.

I think my stay was from Oct 6th-20th, on my first trip to Bulgaria, though I thought I'd already written this review months ago. The family's hospitality was amazing, and I'm so grateful I met them. Thomas knew the area well and gave me helpful advice about what to expect. The property was very well built, and I had a wonderful stay. I worked from home, and the Wi-Fi was a bit difficult in the villa's back room, which had a private entrance and seemed to get weaker reception. The family made delicious pizzas that I ordered every day, and they were better than having food delivered from outside. Billa Supermarket is conveniently close and has everything you'd need. You can walk down the hill in 15 minutes, though you have to hope speeding cars don't clip you, or take the bus there and back. There's also an ATM at the store, available at night. I had an early flight and couldn't say goodbye at checkout, but I was very grateful for the service and hospitality. The location was gorgeous, and the fresh air was amazing compared with anywhere I'd been.

The room smelled of chemicals. It was tiny, and the bed was really uncomfortable.
