Hotel Parnasse

The sea view was really lovely, but the rest of the visit was a nightmare. Our table didn't even have a cloth, unlike the others, and the place looked dirty and neglected. We were a group of 20, which seemed to unsettle the staff at first. It took about 20 minutes before anyone took our order, then roughly an hour for the main dishes to start arriving. Drinks and cutlery never came, so we had to fetch them ourselves. Some meals were forgotten, and some tiny portions took ages. The waitresses seemed stressed, rolled their eyes, and were rude and indifferent. Avoid this place.

We had written proof from a staff member confirming our booking, but the manager just shrugged and said there were no rooms. Before that, we'd been told first that nobody answered their call, then that someone had answered and said we weren't coming. There was no apology or attempt to help, and the manager was very rude. It was busy season, so being left without a room could have been awful if we'd flown in from abroad and had nowhere else to go. At reception, one person spoke barely any English while another woman muttered something in Bulgarian as she walked off. Appalling.

The view was the one good thing. We waited a long time, and the food was a disappointment: listed ingredients were missing, the meat was paper thin and burnt, the vegetables were burnt too, and the salad was rubbish. We shouldn't have eaten there.

The location is beautiful, but the hotel wasn't worth what we paid. We expected it might be a bit rough from the photos, yet our room was really dirty when we arrived, with dusty floors and black gunk on the shower curtain. The Wi-Fi was very weak, not every room has air conditioning, and the place is badly outdated and not wheelchair friendly.
