The breakfast was fresh, tasty, and had plenty to choose from. We went out to try local places for dinner, though the hotel also serves a good, fairly priced meal if you decide later that you want one. We found the hotel peaceful, with polite, professional staff. The rooms were nicely furnished and cleaned thoroughly each day, and being right by the beach with a pool was ideal. This review is overdue: I’d happily stay here again on a return to Bulgaria. I highly recommend reserving a room with parking.

We had a really lovely first holiday with our baby. The place was spotless, right by the beach, and the service and beach restaurant were very good. The beds were the one letdown, as they felt quite uncomfortable.

There’s a small, very clean pool for anyone wanting a quieter alternative, and the parking lot usually has spaces, though they’re all uncovered. The hotel itself is right on the beach, with beach restaurants nearby and a grocery shop about a five-minute drive away. The staff were lovely, always smiling and ready to help. Breakfast had lots of choices, including vegetarian options, and the restaurant food was tasty too. The rooms are pretty basic, but they’re cleaned daily and some have been renovated.

We had friendly staff and the beach was very close, but our room door never worked during the entire stay. They made very little effort to get it fixed, so we were uncomfortable leaving our belongings in a room that wouldn’t lock.

Breakfast was decent, but it didn’t start until 8:30, which felt far too late. Lunch and dinner are available from a limited menu. The name “Aparthotel Royal Marina Beach” feels very pretentious. There’s no marina, and nothing particularly royal about the place. Yes, it’s by the beach, but that area is chaotically overdeveloped. Most units are what they call “deluxe rooms,” though they’re basic and have only small fridges, not even coffee makers. One small elevator serves all four floors for both guests and staff. Dirty linen bags are left piled in public areas, and staff may answer if greeted, though they mostly just stare. The parking is an open lot that turns muddy when it rains. It feels like corners have been cut throughout.
