Balaton Hotel

The location and pool were the only real positives. The pool needed more regular cleaning, and the sunbeds could use better care. The rooms were in poor condition, with worn-out mattresses, and I'd suggest bringing your own pillow. The bed linen wasn't changed once during our week-long stay, and there was a strange smell in the hallways all day. We also found mold in the shower corner. The food was disappointing, mostly the same from day to day and lacking flavor.

Dirty sheets and linens were shocking and unhygienic. The air conditioning didn't work, and when we asked about changing rooms, getting a fan or having it repaired, the only response was, “If you don’t like it, leave.” No help at all. From the moment we arrived, the reception staff spoke to us rudely and disrespectfully. The cleaning lady came into our room without knocking, which was completely unacceptable and violated our privacy. Terrible service, unprofessional staff and dirty rooms. This place ruined our holiday.

The food was DISGUSTING! It wasn't meat, just some kind of intestines. Simply dishonorable. I absolutely do not recommend eating this!!!

The staff were friendly, which we appreciated, and the room was clean. Still, the place could use an update, and the buffet needs more variety, especially for vegetarians. We struggled to find the entrance because it’s tucked between shops, so the signs need to be clearer.
