Sunny Beach Club — Adults only over 16

The rooms were very clean, the pool was beautiful and just like the pictures, and the food was nice, with some dishes cooked fresh in front of you every day. The hotel and location were beautiful, and the staff were great and willing to do whatever they could. The manager was lovely. It's one of the best hotels I've stayed in for a while, and I'll definitely be back. 10/10.

We chose breakfast included instead of full all-inclusive and enjoyed the range, from fresh pancakes to honey comb on the rack. The hotel is right on the beach, and in late September you can catch a bit more summer sun without too many people before it closes for winter. I imagine it gets busy in peak summer. Rooms were clean, tidy, and minimally furnished without feeling lacking. The shower pressure on the 4th floor was glorious, strong enough to take skin off, but easy to adjust. Staff were friendly and professional. Our only complaint was the pool music coming through in the ocean-facing rooms until it was turned off at 23:00. Even my trusty ear plugs didn't help much. Buses to Burgas, stopping at Nessebar, Pommorie, and Aheloy, cost under 10Lev per person. We meant to visit Varna too, but ran out of time. Taking a photo of the bus schedules helped a lot since they aren't available online.

The food was disgusting and inedible. We were served raw chicken and moldy bread, and by the third day all four of us had food poisoning. They were also reusing old food from previous days. Wasps swarmed over the food in the restaurant area, which was a health hazard. The attached photo was taken on a “good” day, and it was usually much worse. The so-called “spa” was appalling. The indoor pool and jacuzzi were freezing and filthy, the towels were stained, and there were spiders crawling around our room. Drinks were watery and tasteless, made with the cheapest alcohol, if they had any at all. Most of the time, the cocktails seemed to have no alcohol in them. We were charged 120 for “parking”, which was just a patch of dirt under a tree, and ants invaded our car. When we brought our concerns to the front desk manager, we got sarcasm instead of solutions. This was a horrible experience, and this place should be shut down immediately. If you value your health, safety, or basic respect as a guest, stay away from this hotel at all costs.

The food was a letdown: poor quality, and so much of it was pork that there wasn’t much variety. I expected more from an all-inclusive stay. We were also given just one little bottle of shampoo for four people over four nights, meant for both hair and body, with no toothpaste or other basic toiletries. Parking cost extra, even though we’d booked all-inclusive. I left feeling the value and service didn’t match what was promised, and wouldn’t recommend the hotel.
