Hotel Arda

We’ve been here for the third time, staying in both June and August, and can’t wait to come back next year. The rooms are clean and tidy, and the hotel is brilliant. The family who run it are brilliant too.

When your transfer driver asks where you’re staying and you say Arda, then asks why, you start to wonder. Now I understand. This is the worst hotel ever. Dirty, dirty, dirty. Please read and listen to the TripAdvisor reviews too. Even if you think all you need is a bed, this place is beyond filthy. The food is atrocious and the pool has no filter, it’s like soup. I didn’t expect or pay for five-star luxury, just somewhere cheap and cheerful, but this wasn’t it. Staff were rude and told lots of lies to protect themselves. The manager clearly doesn’t like disabled people. The rep tells the manager off, but nothing changes. You get bitten by cat fleas in the lobby, and before the first week is over, every basic request comes with an extra charge: clean sheets, clean towels, a kettle, a cup, a fridge, air conditioning. All 15 lev. Believe me, I’m not posh and I’ve stayed in some places, but this is the worst ever. This is an honest review. The good reviews are all from the hotel’s family and friends. Avoid it, and read and listen to the reviews. The pictures don’t lie.

The room is about what you’d expect for what you pay. Depending on which room you get, the views of the surrounding area are decent and you might see the sea. The main road is right beside it, though, and it can get very loud, so earplugs are a good idea. The cleaners do a good job and are always nearby. Breakfast is sufficient and does the job, but don’t expect anything amazing. The staff are friendly, and the lobby and bar are nice.

I liked the evening meals on our half-board stay, and the service was good. The little lady who served us was lovely. Arda Hotel was clean, and everyone was friendly. It made a great base for the beach and a stroll along the main front. Breakfast was toast, cereal, scrambled eggs, sausages and beans. It filled me up, so I didn't mind it, even though some people complained. I'm not sure what they expected. The pool area was clean and the pool looked lovely, but the water was 🥶. It's a friendly family-run place, and I'd definitely go back. Thanks for a lovely week's break.
