Hotel Yantra

Booking.com listed parking and Wi-Fi, but when we got there the lot had no spaces, and the Wi-Fi didn't work. The TV in our room was broken too. First stay here, and the last. Absolutely bottom.

The staff at reception didn't seem to understand when I asked them to call an ambulance one night because my little girl was having a problem. They suddenly seemed to have forgotten the word 'ambulance', and I won't come back because of that. The hotel is about 400m from the beach and a 10-minute walk from the city centre. Restaurants and shops start about 100m away and continue towards the centre. We had all-inclusive, but the food was almost the same every day, and our room wasn't very clean. There's a pool, a bar beside it, and hotel parking, though the gates were closed. They said it was full. With some tips you might find a spot, or there's an inexpensive paid lot about 100m away with plenty of spaces.

I won't stay here again. The booking photos are very different from the real place, and the hotel hasn't been renovated for a long time. Our sheets hadn't been cleaned after the previous guest. Breakfast was the same each day, with little choice, and cable TV only had six channels. There are some pluses: it's right in the city centre, the pool is nice, and the staff are okay.

The location is convenient, with a bus stop, cafes and shops nearby. Cacao and Corona Beach are about a 10-minute walk away. From the 10th floor we could see the sea and had a lovely view, though music from nearby bars went on late and was very noisy. We were there in 2022. The administration was friendly, and they let us into our room before check-in time. The room was small, with mattresses that were reasonably comfortable. The air conditioning cooled well, but the bathroom was tiny and had no hair dryer. The shower drain kept clogging with sand, and there was no clothes dryer on the balcony, so we had to buy string. Towels were changed every three days, and the room had been cleaned before we checked in. Our voucher covered buffet breakfasts only. The food was edible but monotonous, and when many people came into the dining room at once, there weren't enough portions for everyone.
