Rose Village

The location is a real plus, close to the beach, with two pools on the property. The rooms were tidy and clean, and the cleaning staff did their work carefully. Staff were generally very nice and cheerful, especially the girls at the bar. The man clearing plates also deserves praise, as the tables were always clean. Food was my main reservation: there wasn’t much choice, some dishes weren’t tasty, and the all-inclusive drinks selection was poor. There was also a man on the property, probably from Russia, who seemed to claim sunbeds as his own. They were poorly marked, he held a grudge, and it spoiled the atmosphere. We spoke with the man at reception only twice, but I remember those encounters well. For this price, I’d give the place 7/10. My English isn’t good, so I hope this review makes sense. The maids did a good job cleaning, but I wouldn’t choose this place again. The room had very few self-catering facilities, and the lighting was poor. The air conditioning leaked, made a lot of noise, and worked all or nothing, without switching off at the set temperature. The lifts also stop short of room level, so you still have to carry your cases down a flight of steps, with no one to help. The reception floor can get very slippery from people coming in from the pool, and there are no wet floor signs.

We’ve stayed at Rose Apartments twice now, and both visits impressed us. It’s budget accommodation, so don’t expect fancy bathroom extras, champagne on arrival, or room service. What you do get is a clean apartment, lovely staff, and an all-inclusive package with local spirits (yuk), beer (yummy), and soft drinks. The hot food wasn’t always amazing, but the salad and fruit bar was great. The location is ideal, between Sunny Beach and Nessebar, in a quieter area than most. Highly recommended.

I had a very pleasant experience. I got food poisoning after eating food that was two days old. The cola was water with mourning, the pool hadn’t been cleaned for five days, and the staff don’t speak English.
