Sun Palace

The service left a lot to be desired, and the rest of the stay was just as disappointing. We were on the 5th floor, and the elevator stayed out of order for five days. Housekeeping only mopped the floor, with no shampoo or toilet paper supplied, and we got fresh towels just three times in the week. The same food was served day after day for the entire week, with no variety, which got frustrating fast. I found the staff unprofessional. It was one of my worst experiences, and I wouldn't recommend this hotel or come back.

The pool was clean, cool, and big enough, with trees offering natural shade. I was there for a 10-day Erasmus youth exchange, and although I'd brought towels and bed linen because of the reviews, I didn't need them. The room was clean and serviced daily, including fresh towels. Reception, housekeeping, and restaurant staff were all very friendly. There was plenty of fresh, tasty food, though the desserts weren't for me because all I could taste was sweetness. I'm very sensitive to food infections, but ate everything without getting sick. I did gain 2 kilos :)) I also heard management had changed recently, which might explain why my stay felt so different from the experiences described in many 1-star reviews. I simply can't imagine those negative reviews being written by the competition.

The rooms were clean, with roomy bathrooms, and there was plenty of food choice throughout the day. Everyone was friendly and happy to help when needed. The door handle broke on day one, but they fixed it right away. The pillows felt a bit too hard for me. Apart from those two room issues, everything was amazing.

I spent a lovely week here. There was plenty of tasty food to choose from, and the rooms were spacious and kept clean. Staff came by every day to clean and change the bed covers. Everyone was incredibly kind, from security to reception. The red-haired receptionist especially stood out for her hospitality, 10/10.
