Hotel Rohi

We were impressed by the salads, especially the tomatoes grown in the hotel's own garden, which we could see. They tasted so different from the tomatoes we get in Germany, and the bright sunshine seemed to suit the vegetables as much as the guests. Hotel Rohi was a welcome change after the big, crowded tourist hotels we'd stayed in before. Its spot on a peninsula gave us plenty of privacy, while the nearby beaches still made it feel like a proper holiday. The staff were very courteous and helpful, and communicating in German was easy. They even offered to bring beach toys for the children before we headed out. We were very happy with our stay and have already planned to come back next year.

The place was clean and the staff friendly, but the room didn't match what we expected. The promised sea view was only visible if you looked left or leaned over the railing to the right. Straight ahead, the terrace faced buildings. There was no air conditioning, though it was fairly windy, and there were no mirrors. We also had to buy toilet paper after the single roll ran out. The bathroom had only soap. There were just four TV channels, no microwave despite the booking saying there would be one, and no cabinets. At least the large table gave us somewhere to put our things. Honestly, it felt like little had been done to justify the prices. We booked two months ahead at 60lv/night, which was fortunate, since the price had gone up to 85 and didn't feel worth it.

The owners are kind and friendly, and from the terrace you can see the sea. It's a peaceful spot close to the beach, so at night you can actually hear the waves as you fall asleep. You can charge an electric car in the parking lot using a Schuko socket. The bathrooms could be cleaner, and the beds could sink a little more.

The setting is what makes this place special: the Rohi complex sits on the cape of the same name in the Boruna area, where Nestinarka beach naturally continues. The sea is on three sides, while Strandzha Mountain and Papia Peak, at 502 meters above sea level, rise to the south. Sea and mountain, rich biodiversity, and cultural and historical heritage come together here. The quiet, cool surroundings have a charm of their own, and the region offers plenty of ways to enjoy a full holiday and experience its character. The complex is 30 meters from the beach and about 600 meters from the Vasiliko district of Tsarevo. Rooms for two or three have private bathrooms and spacious terraces, with double or single beds, a TV and refrigerator. Views look out over the sea, Nestinarka beach, Vasiliko, or Strandzha Mountain, where a cool breeze often blows. The restaurant serves tasty national and other dishes at very affordable prices. There's free parking, and the inner courtyard has plenty of greenery and flowers, with space to relax with family or friends, have a picnic, or let children play on the lawn, swing or trampoline. Quiet little coves among beautiful rocks surround the complex, and fishing for rare fish such as zargan draws anglers from around the country. The area also interests scuba divers. The managers hope you've made the right choice and that you'll be very satisfied.
