Aqua View Spa Boutique Hotel

It was a little hard to find, but once you get there, what a treasure. The staff were very helpful, and the hotel was clean. There was a strong smell of something off in the corridors on the way to the room, though. It didn’t really affect our stay, but it could be improved. The room was tidy and very clean. We did miss having a kettle for a hot drink when we wanted one, and the dining room, or rather the lounge area, closing around 10pm wasn’t helpful. There’s no restaurant in the hotel, which was inconvenient. Parking on site both days was a big help, since it’s otherwise very difficult to park around there. We didn’t use the wellness facilities, but we did go up for a look and they were lovely. Maybe next time. We wouldn’t mind staying again. Breakfast was the highlight, fantastic! In general, we had a wonderful stay in this beautiful city.

The food was the best part, honestly, and it was delicious ✨. From the outside, the hotel also looks beautifully decorated and clean.

The rooms were shockingly dirty. We asked to switch rooms hoping the next one would be better, but it was just as bad. When we showed staff the dirt on the floor, all they said was to “wear slippers.” They also left a bottle of chemical cleaning solution right beside our baby’s disinfected bottles. That was an unacceptable safety lapse, and we cut our stay short because of it. Reception first agreed to refund one night. Then booking.com contacted them to confirm, but they didn’t reply and stopped answering our calls. I can’t understand where all the 5-star reviews for this terrible place come from.

This was my sixth stay here. The owner was very nice, and they gave me a higher-floor room when I asked. The views and prices are great, and the sound of the waves gives the room an exotic feel. Breakfast was okay, though it could be a little better 😁. They no longer have a minibar for some reason, so I bought drinks and kept them in the mini fridge. A few extras would make a stay nicer, like conditioner, moisturiser, and some forks and spoons. The hotel is improving step by step, and there’s still work going on around the site, for example in the car park. For the price and location, it’s perfect. Highly recommend it 🤩🥰
